Make a see-through glass bug home using an old jelly jar. Punch air holes in the lids using a hammer and nail. Send your child on a bug hunt to collect as many different specimens she can to observe in the jar. Ask your child why she thinks the jar needs holes? Does our house have holes? Help your child make connections!
(Return the bug to the outdoors before bedtime.)
