Activity: Dear Mr. President

Letter writing is a good tool for combining needed writing practice with history or current events. Ask your child to write a letter to the president. Make sure your child includes a specific question for the president—something your child wants the president to “fix” or explain. For variation, suggest your child write to the president’s wife, child or other family member.
